Young Nebraska Scientist
Christopher Wang is a high school student working with the Schnable Lab through the Young Nebraska Scientist program in summer 2026. His project focuses on analyzing latent sorghum leaf phenotypes from more than 10,000 scanned images. Christopher is mentored by Karla Cuellar.

Farewell to our summer high school intern Christopher Wang, who worked with Karla Cuéllar developing and testing new methods to estimate chlorophyll content from leaf images. Chris was supported by the Young Nebraska Scientist program and delivered his farewell poster presentation at the 2026 summer Nebraska Research Fair.
