Taryn Peffers
Undergraduate Research Assistant
Taryn Peffers is an undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry and Forensic Science. She joined the Schnable Lab in May 2026 as a research assistant. Prior to joining Schnable Lab, she gained valuable laboratory skills through her work as a research assistant within the Crawford Lab, assisted with Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) research, and as a prep worker within the UNL undergraduate Microbiology Teaching Lab. Outside of the lab, Taryn acts as an executive officer in the Forensic Science Club, and when not in Nebraska is commonly found among her dairy goat herd back in Iowa.
