Meijie Luo
Visiting Scholar
Meijie Luo is a Visiting Scholar from the Maize Research Institute at the Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences. Her research focuses on cloning and mechanistic analysis of key regulatory genes in maize, as well as the genetic improvement and biofortification of fresh maize. During her visit to the Schnable Lab, she is mapping the genetic determinants of vitreous and starchy endosperm content in diverse maize populations using genome‑wide association studies and functionally characterizing the resulting candidate genes.
